Sailo is an online boat rental marketplace that connects people who want to rent boats to boat owners and charter companies. Our seamless platform uses technology to disrupt the archaic boating industry with the aim of making boating more accessible, affordable and enjoyable. We launched in Florida in Nov ’14 and have since signed up over 25000 boats and have been featured in Fortune Magazine, FOXNews, Entrepreneur.com, Maxim and TechCrunch, to name a few. We were part of Techstars New York Fall 2015 class and we currently have offices in New York, Miami, and Bucharest.

Sailo is looking for a candidate with at least 5 years experience in running a marketing department managing various digital marketing aspects: SEO, paid search,content marketing, brand, emailing, affiliates, social media, partnerships. Managing teams is a plus but not required. We prefer a candidate with experience in smaller organizations / startups / tech targeting a global market - where they had to be creative, really think outside the box in order to be successful. We are results oriented- so we are seeking CVs and / or LinkedIn profiles that showcase they've accomplishments % ROI improvements, revenue improvements , and other KPIs hit, or exceeded.

As a Digital Marketing Lead, you should have in-depth marketing experience and a passion for technology. You will work closely with different teams to ensure brand consistency through all of our digital marketing channels. You will also provide new ideas to build and maintain a strong digital presence for the company.

Ultimately, you will drive all digital marketing efforts to achieve our business objectives and create and present monthly KPI reports to the executive team This position reports to the COO. 

Responsibilities:

  • Organize and lead digital marketing team;
  • Build, plan, and implement the overall digital marketing strategy;
  • Prepare and manage the digital marketing budget;
  • Manage digital marketing channels (e.g. website, blogs, emails and social media) to increase website traffic and grow brand awareness;
  • Track and analyze SEO and Google Analytics data; 
  • Generate ROI & KPI reports;
  • Develop campaigns to increase customer interaction;
  • Manage brand positioning on US and global markets;
  • Manage and improve online content;
  • Hire and manage outside agencies ;
  • Create and manage strategic partnerships;
  • Prioritize and Optimize growth channels; 
  • Scale and Automate the growth processes;
  • Test and optimize marketing channels for customer acquisition (e.g. online advertising, direct mail, out of home, affiliate) and conversion rate optimization;
  • Conduct and present competitive analyses and market research;
  • Propose creative new projects, from building free tools and apps that attract prospects and convert leads to testing new approaches to capturing existing demand;
  • Identify industry trends and insights.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience as a Digital Marketing Lead;
  • 5+ years of experience in developing and implementing digital marketing strategies;
  • Good knowledge and experience with online marketing tools;
  • 3 years of hands-on experience with SEO/SEM, Google Analytics, Semrush or similar;
  • Excellent analytical, reporting and project management skills;
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Able to handle multiple projects and teams at the same time;
  • BA/MA in Marketing, Digital technologies, or similar relevant field.

Nice to have:

  • Experience with affiliates and influencers;
  • Experience with marketplaces;
  • Experience within the travel/entertainment industries;
  • Experience with mixpanel.
